Neurotoxin

What is Botox?

Botox (onabotulinumtoxin A) is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the small muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles — the lines that appear when you smile, squint, frown, or raise your eyebrows. It is one of the most studied and most widely used aesthetic treatments in the world and has been FDA-approved for cosmetic use since 2002.

When skillfully placed, Botox softens existing lines, prevents new lines from deepening over time, and creates a more rested, refreshed appearance — without changing the way your face moves or expresses emotion. The goal at Aesthetics 360 is never a frozen look. The goal is to look like yourself, just with fewer lines.

Common treatment areas

At our Wayne location, the most frequently treated areas for Radnor clients are:

  • Glabellar lines — the vertical “11” lines between the eyebrows that appear with concentration or frowning.
  • Forehead lines — the horizontal lines that develop with raising the eyebrows.
  • Crow’s feet — the fan of fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes that appear when smiling.
  • Bunny lines — the small wrinkles across the bridge of the nose that scrunch with smiling or laughing.
  • Lip flip — a small dose along the upper lip that gently rolls the lip outward for a softer, fuller-looking smile without dermal filler.
  • Masseter (jaw) — for patients with TMJ tension, teeth grinding, or a desire for a softer jawline contour.
  • Neck (platysmal bands) — vertical bands on the neck that become more visible with age or animation.
  • Brow lift — strategic placement to subtly elevate the outer brow.

Why choose Aesthetics 360 for Botox near Bryn Mawr?

Bryn Mawr and the broader Main Line have no shortage of aesthetic providers. What sets Aesthetics 360 apart is our commitment to medical oversight, clinical safety, and patient education at every step.

Medical leadership and supervision

Aesthetics 360 is led by Dr. David W. Silvestre, DO, a double board-certified physician who provides direct medical oversight of every treatment protocol. Our injector team operates under strict clinical standards developed and supervised by an experienced master nurse injector, with dedicated time set aside for ongoing training, peer review, and continuing education in advanced techniques.

Evidence-based care for an informed patient community

Bryn Mawr’s academic and medical professional community — Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, and nearby Lankenau Medical Center — means our patients here often arrive with detailed questions and high standards for clinical transparency. We welcome that. At Aesthetics 360, our conservative dosing philosophy, two-week follow-up evaluation, and exclusive use of FDA-approved products are designed precisely for patients who do their research. We are happy to walk through the clinical evidence, discuss product sourcing, and explain exactly what to expect — before we begin treatment.

Authentic, FDA-approved products only

Aesthetics 360 sources all neuromodulators directly from authorized U.S. medical suppliers. We use Botox Cosmetic by AbbVie/Allergan and Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) by Evolus — both FDA-approved for the cosmetic treatment of glabellar lines. We never use compounded, gray-market, or unverified product, and we are happy to walk you through product sourcing if you ask.

What to expect at your Botox appointment

Before your visit

There is minimal preparation required. We recommend avoiding aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours before your appointment, as these can increase the risk of mild bruising at the injection sites. If you take a blood thinner for a medical reason, do not stop it — let us know and we will adjust our technique.

During your appointment

A typical first-time Botox visit at Aesthetics 360 runs 30 to 45 minutes and unfolds in four parts: a focused consultation with one of our injectors, photo documentation, the treatment itself, and aftercare instructions. The injection portion takes only about five to ten minutes. We use ultra-fine needles and topical or ice-based numbing if requested. Most patients describe the sensation as a brief pinch.

After your appointment

You can return to most normal activities right away. We ask that for the first four hours you avoid lying flat, vigorous exercise, hot showers, saunas, and pressure on the treated areas. Mild redness or small bumps at the injection sites usually resolve within an hour.

When you will see results

Most patients begin to notice softening within three to five days. Full effect develops by ten to fourteen days — that is when we like to see you back for a complimentary two-week touch-up if any small adjustment is needed. Results typically last three to four months, with longer durations common in patients who maintain a regular treatment schedule.

Pricing and payment options

Botox at Aesthetics 360 is priced per unit, which is the industry-standard transparent pricing model. The exact dose for any individual depends on the areas treated, muscle strength, and your goals — we will discuss a recommended unit count and total cost during your consultation, before we begin treatment.

Most first-time patients treating one to three areas typically need between 20 and 60 units. We offer Cherry payment plans for clients who would like to split treatment into monthly payments, and we run periodic seasonal promotions and loyalty rewards.
